Zoom and INFOhio Training Offered to All Ohio School Districts

Ohio’s ITCs and ESCs are offering training on Zoom and INFOhio to all Ohio school districts.

Zoom video collaboration software enables teachers and students to engage in high-quality, live, online learning opportunities. Zoom requires no special technology, and can be used on any platform (e.g., Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and Chromebooks). Remote students without a computer or smart device at home can still participate via audio using a telephone.

Each session will also provide training on how to leverage all of INFOhio’s remarkable content, entirely free of charge. INFOhio content is all electronic, easy to use remotely, and covers almost all Ohio standards, benchmarks, and indicators articulated in the state standards and model curriculum.

Please join Ohio’s ITCs and ESCs on this valuable training opportunity – there is no fee. Feel free to attend one or both sessions. Each will be recorded and posted to the Management Council Community for remote learning.

This session introduces users to logging on, initiating and joining classes (meetings) using different devices (tablets, phones, laptops, etc.), managing classes – audio, video, recording, viewing options, sharing screens, tracking student engagement, grouping students into breakout rooms, and other instructional strategies. Participants will also learn more about INFOhio, including:

  • Teach and Learn with Digital Resources (grade level and subject area with instructional strategies)
  • Teach and Learn with Educator Tools (lessons plans and resources aligned to Ohio Standards, Benchmarks, Indicators)

This follow up webinar reinforces the concepts presented on Wednesday, provides more background on recording and using the mobile Zoom app, introduces more instructional and management techniques, and provides background on how to get support. Participants will again learn more about INFOhio, including:

  • Teach and Learn with Digital Resources (grade level and subject area with instructional strategies)
  • Teach and Learn with Educator Tools (lessons plans and resources aligned to Ohio Standards, Benchmarks, Indicators)

Districts can purchase a full Zoom license for each teacher for $5, which is valid for the remainder of the school year (students are free), or educators can use the basic Zoom licensing free of charge.
